Next Quarter: Contemporary Projects in Psychoanalysis

Hello all,

We are currently planning our Spring curriculum, which will consist of nine sessions. We have three primary themes, each of which will be framed by an essay or work of Freud's. Here is the basic outline we have so far (no frilly names, yet):

Culture
Freud, S. Civilization and its Discontents.

Clinic
Freud, S. "Analysis Terminable and Interminable."

?

Science
Freud, S. "The Question of Lay Analysis" and "The Question of a Weltanschauung."

I ran across this fascinating interview with Eric Kandel

a significant part of the podcast is spend discussing his relationship to Psychoanalysis. He claims to be doing what Freud's inheritors might have done, but did not.
